CALL FOR INDUSTRY FORUM PROPOSALS

APCFFE 2026 plans to hold a number of industry forums (also known as industry workshops) and invites the submission of industry forum proposals. Industry Forum emphasizes on recent topics of technical and business issues in financial economics, asset management, and fintech of particular interests to the community. Industry Forum will include industry focused presentations for practicing financial professionals, investment managers, as well as researchers in academia and industries who may have a strong interest in both the theoretical and practical aspects of emerging financial topics.

STRUCTURE OF INDUSTRY FORUM

  • An Industry Forum may include talks, invited presentations, panels, or demonstrations around a targeted topic.
  • Proposers are encouraged to organize half-day (two 1.5-hour timeslots) or full-day (four 1.5-hour timeslots) Industry Forum    

TOPICS OF INTEREST (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO)


  • Asset pricing models and factor investing across global markets

  • Market microstructure, high-frequency trading, and price discovery

  • Behavioral finance: biases, sentiment, and investor heterogeneity

  • Corporate governance, ownership structure, and firm performance

  • Capital structure, dividend policy, and corporate financing decisions

  • Systemic risk measurement and financial network analysis

  • Macro-financial linkages: monetary policy, inflation, and financial stability

  • Climate finance, ESG integration, and green bond markets

  • Fintech innovations: blockchain, DeFi, and digital currencies

  • Central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) and their macroeconomic implications

  • Big data, machine learning, and AI applications in finance

  • Textual analysis and alternative data for forecasting and risk assessment

  • Portfolio optimization and dynamic asset allocation under uncertainty

  • Derivatives pricing, hedging strategies, and volatility modeling

  • International finance: exchange rates, capital flows, and sovereign risk

  • Financial regulation, macroprudential policies, and crisis management

  • Household finance, financial literacy, and retirement planning

  • Real estate finance and housing market dynamics

  • Private equity, venture capital, and entrepreneurial finance

  • Insurance economics and actuarial modeling in a changing risk environment

PREPARATION OF INDUSTRY FORUM PROPOSALS

The length of each proposal should not exceed 5 pages in total, and a proposal should include:

  1. - Title of the forum

  2. - Length of the forum (half day or full day)

  3. - Name, affiliation, contact information of the organizer(s)

  4. - Motivation and scope of the forum (aligned with APCFFE 2026’s theme of "Frontiers in Financial Economics for Resilient and Intelligent Financial Systems")

  5. - A brief description of the technical issues that the forum will address (focusing on financial economics, asset pricing, risk management, fintech, and macro‑policy‑related topics)

  6. - If appropriate, a description of past Industry Forum organized by the proposer, including number of attendees, etc.

  7. - Tentative program of the forum

  8. - If appropriate, a description of how to advertise/promote this Industry Forum

  9. - Biographies of organizer(s)

  10. - One page of Call for Participation for this Industry Foru
